Michael comes to Heart of the Arts after six years of leadership, management and organizational style in the U.S Marine Corps as well as 30 years in a variety of leadership and management s with Fortune 500 firms including Dun & Bradstreet, a major nonprofit trade association. He currently works as Associate Professor of Business and Technology at DeVry University and applies his expertise through his volunteer efforts at Heart of the Art Project by assisting with the development of its business strategies and plans. Michael graduated from Rutgers and received his MBA from the New York Institute of Technology, and a MS degree in Direct Marketing Communications from NYU. Michael earned his Doctorate from Union Institute and University of Cincinnati, Ohio where he was the first person ever to receive a Ph.D. in Organizational Management/ Nonprofit Leadership. Michael lives in Piscataway with his wife Jo-Ann and can be seen at her studio along with their children and grandchildren.

Michael is going into his senior year at Montclair State University majoring in English and minoring in Musical Theater. He has appeared in many area community theater productions including as Cat in the Hat in Seussical, Jack in Into the Woods, Ryan Evans in High School Musical. Michael is also Assistant Directing Alice in Wonderland at Cranford Dramatic Club along side of Alexandra Lopez.
